Welcome!
Power For Women is a group that believes in giving women the skills and strategies for increasing their power to move through the world. In addition to practical self-defense skills against sexual harassment and assault, we believe there are many areas of daily life which women could use skills and information to better protect their interests. Through its self-defense classes, workshops, and demonstrations, Power For Women equips women and girls with the knowledge that is essential in these times. And Power for Women classes are for women only, taught by women only.
Arrange a class, workshop or demo for your workplace or friends. Call 312-957-0195 and talk to Anne Mary or Allison. Power for Women travels, and our prices are reasonable.
If you shop online, you can donate to Power for Women and it won't cost you a cent. iGive is an internet site with links to over 700 on-line vendors, from Amazon to Zazzle, eBay to HSN and QVC. Power for Women will host another 2010 all day Shooting Camp at Howell Shooting Club.
Date: Sept. 18 (Saturday)
Time: 9:00am to 4:30pm
Place: Howell Shooting Club in Yorkville
(see map on Howell website www.howellshootingclub.com)
Cost: $45 for one registrant,
but only $75 for Mothers and Daughters coming as a pair to the camp.
Registration is required.
Our shooting events are for women and girls only.
Power for Women has been teaching women to shoot for 21 years. At these all day events we teach pistol, rifle, and shotgun with an emphasis on safety and marksmanship. We provide the guns, ammo, targets, ear protection and eye protection. We also have stuff to drink. YOU BRING YOUR LUNCH.
Our events are suitable for all women. There will be brand new shooters and women who come to try new kinds of shooting while having fun sharing their skills with other women. One of the best parts of the day is meeting other women who like to shoot. Experienced and NRA-trained instructors will be on site to assist you.
